Senegal/Tips for hitchhikers

I've had luck in Senegal getting rides with both foreigners and locals on the main routes between St Louis, Dakar and Tambacounda. At Dakar it's probably worth getting a bus or car rapid to the Thiès/Mbour junction to avoid the large ammount of local traffic.
