Small two store building near Moon Dance Restaurant in Old Manali just across the bridge. Basic clean rooms with bathrooms (no hot water). Prizes in 2009 differ from 200-350 per double. Guesthouse has a small kitchen outside so basic meals, cold and hot drinks are available on the place. The owner can pick you up from the Bus Station if you call him ahead +91 981 612 921.

Recomended for Backpacker with low budget !!!

Organizing low budget trekking (Ladakh, Zanskar, Spitii):Edit

All around Manali there is a lot of tourist agencies specializing i package trekking trips in the areas of Ladakh, Zanskar and Spitii Valey. Most of them offer full service packages including guide, horses, food, tents etc.

If you don't want to do the trekking on your own but still fill not happy about paying a lot for the organized trip there is other solution. You can ask for help the guys from The Ponyman Union. It's localized next do the small market near The Manali Bus Station. Don't expect good english skills there but if you'll be patient enough and speak really slowly, they can organize for you a local ponyman (who will be also your guide), horses for carrying luggage and food for the trek. All of this will cost about ten times less then the package trekking trip for the tourist agency.
