Lesotho (official name: the Kingdom of Lesotho) is a landlocked country of Africa and it is surrounded on all sided by the Republic of South Africa. It It was formerly known as Basutoland. Lesotho covers an area of 30,355 km² and has a population of 1,795,000. Lesotho means roughly "the land of the people who speak Sotho".
