Ross Castle on the shores of Lough Lein

Killarney, which literally means, the "Church of the sloe", is a town in County Kerry, southwestern Ireland. Over a period of time, it has emerged as a popular tourist destination due to its historical importance and natural beauty. It has many historical churches like St. Mary's Cathedral, Ross Castle and Muckross Abbey. Its natural beauties include a deep valley in the MacGillicuddy Reeks, the Lakes of Killarney, part of the Killarney National Park, and torc waterfall. Innisfallen Island is the location of a ruined monastery. Killarney is a sister city of both Cooper City, Florida and Concord, North Carolina.
