The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge in San Francisco, California. It spans San Franciso Bay in the Pacific Ocean. It opened on May 27, 1937 after being constructed from January 5, 1933 to April 19, 1937. It is 6 lanes of U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1. It's a bridge for both vehicles and pedestrians. It spans from San Francisco, crosses Golden Gate which opens up to San Francisco Bay, San Francisco Bay, to Marin County on the opposite side of the bay.
