Zoo Map

The Cincinnati Zoo and Coastal Aquarium is a national treasure with a rating of 5 stars and is no doubt the greatest zoo on the planet. It has an outstanding collection of animals including pandas, manatees, orangutans, panthers, and even orcas. Unfortunately, the zoo has very little space with a small number of species, and the zoo isn't even real, it is a Zoo Tycoon Production. The zoo got their former name "Wild Animals" from being the worldwide leader in freeing animals into the wild.

Date opened June 2, 2011
Location Cincinnati, Ohio
Land area 70 acres
Number of animals 115+
Number of species 40+

Admission is free so the zoo gets its money from animal donations. When a successfully breeding animal pair has produced many offspring, they stay at the zoo for rest of their lives. An animal is only freed into the wild if it is either feeling home sick and complaining, if the exhibit it's in is getting over crowded, if the zoo is about to build a new exhibit and the species isn't part of it, and or if it is an extremely Critacally endangered animal who needs to stay in zoos to repopulate. But almost every offspring gets freed or transferred to a different zoo.

Working with Pandas[]

The Cincy Zoo leads the world in captivating pandas, panda births, and setting pandas into the wild. The zoo has had more than 40 Giant pandas and have had over 20 births and over 30 pandas set free. Because of this activity, the Cincy Zoo is called the "Sexiest Zoo in the World" (after the former name the "Sexiest Zoo in America"), along with having the most endangered animal births and the most animal births than any other zoo on the planet.

History[]

Someone by the name of Zak Handel bought out the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Cincinnati, OH and changed the name and the format dramatically and made it so much more of a better zoo on June 2, 2011. The reason there is so little space in the zoo is because the animals have larger exhibits than needed.

EXHIBITS[]

The Tropics Trail[]

Venture into the world of the rain forest where lush, green foliage and beautiful orchids envelop guests along a winding path. Playful orangutans, inquisitive gibbons and agile white Bengal tigers are just a few of the animals waiting to be discovered at each turn. Beauty and unique wildlife first attract you, but the Tropics Trail also showcases several of the world's biodiversity "hotspots"—areas especially rich in species found nowhere else that are also at extreme risk of destruction. The lemur and leopard exhibit takes the biggest risk a zoo has ever done.
