Port Townsend, Washington, USA is an idyllic and charming little town of Victorian architecture and great views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Although there are only a little more than 9,000 residents, Port Townsend attracts a lot of visitors because of its beauty, abundant activities, and close proximity to the treausures of the Olympic Peninsula and British Columbia. Along with its ample collection of Victorian homes and buildings for visitors to experience, Port Townsend is also an artists commmunity, and the spirit of the town reflects this. Art studios, shops, and festivals abound. Unique B&B's and hotels abound in Port Townsend, making it a popular spot for romantic getaways and weddings. In short, Port Townsend is a bit secluded for most visitors, but if you have the time its very much worth the effort, as Port Townsend is a charming little jewel of the Pacific Northwest.

1. The Palace Hotel - A prime example of downtown Port Townsend's restored Victorian era charm. Its centrally located to all of Port Townsend's great art galleries, antique stores, restaurants, and one block from the ferry dock. The rooms are very reasonably priced for the character and amenities you receive. We highly recommend the Palace Hotel.

2. Chevy Chase Beach Cabins - Not as centrally located to the Palace Hotel but in an another great location nonetheless, the Chevy Chase Beach Cabins are another outstandig place to stay in Port Townsend. These are 7 secluded cabins with great amenities, and a stunning view of Discovery Bay.
