Belgium (Dutch: België, French: Belgique, German: Belgien) is known first and foremost as the home of world renowned Belgian chocolates and Belgian fries, Belgium also produces over 1000 varieties of beer.
Belgian folk festivals, which play a major role in the country's cultural life include the Carnival of Binche and Aalst, the Ducasse of Ath, the procession of the Holy Blood in Bruges, the 15th-of-August festival in Liège, the Walloon festival in Namur and the Gentse feesten (Ghent festival) in Ghent.
It is a beautiful country, worthy of many walking tours
