AtomicBombDome

On 6 Aug 1945, an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima and on 9 Aug 1945 on Nagasaki, ending the Pacific War. The number of dead from the atomic bombs was estimated at about 80,000 - 100,000 (from Aug to Dec 1945). In 1996, to remember the victims of the atomic bomb, the Genbaku Dome was registered as a World Heritage Site.
