Europe
From Wikia Travel
Europe has one of the richest traditions and histories in the world, and makes for great travel opportunities. Travelling within the European Union's 25 countries is now much easier due to common borders, and in most cases a common currency (the Euro). Whether you're a backpacker or a luxury traveller, there is incredible diversity of things to do and a great deal of historical sites to visit.
A great deal of Europe can be seen by train, although the rise of European discount airlines has made event remote places like Estonia easily reachable now.
Geographically, Europe is the western portion of the larger landmass known as Eurasia. The continent begins at the Ural Mountains in Russia, which define Europe's eastern boundary with Asia. The southeast boundary with Asia is not universally defined. Most commonly the Ural or, alternatively, the Emba River serve as possible boundaries. The boundary continues to the Caspian Sea, the crest of the Caucasus Mountains or, alternatively, the Kura River in the Caucasus, and on to the Black Sea; the Bosporus, the Sea of Marmara, and the Dardanelles conclude the Asian boundary. The Mediterranean Sea to the south separates Europe from Africa. The western boundary is the Atlantic Ocean, but Iceland, much farther away than the nearest points of Africa, is also often included in Europe. There is ongoing debate on where the geographical centre of Europe is.

If you would like to work while on vacation in Europe, there are some opportunities for non-Europeans in the form of student vacation work programs. Five countries have working holiday programs for Americans, but you need to go through an approved educational exchange operator. Other possibilities exist for Canadians, Australians and others. [5]
