Overview
Angola (official name: the Republic of Angola) is a country located in the south-central part of Africa. Once it was a Portuguese colony, and it became a free nation in November, 1975. With an area of 1,246,700 km², Angola is the 23rd largest country of the world. Its population is 15,941,000. The country has a vast natural resources and some of the very good diamond mines of the world are located in Angola.
