See these temples before they get (more) crowded with tourists. Excavations are still going on by international teams. Best to arrive thru Thailand but if you want to see the "killing fields," arrive thru the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh. Akgkor Wat shows the influences of the Hindu and Buddhist religions with active monasteries on-site. This vast temple complex is like a movie set, though it is missing Angelina Jolie as the star.
